For Article 28-2, which applies much of this Act to partners who live together without being spouses, a partner in a dating relationship (交際) with whom a person shares their main home, as long as they live together in a way similar to a married couple; the Act then reads this partner in place of the spouse (配偶者).
In Article 74-7-2, a business operator (including a corporation set up under a special law) or government office that is a party to specified transactions (特定取引) or provides the place for them, such as an online platform, and that the regional commissioner can require to report on the people making them.

The amount, set by Cabinet Order (政令), of the distribution of profits of a specific purpose trust (特定目的信託) that meets the conditions listed in Article 68-3-2, paragraph (1), item (i).

In Article 34 of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, as Article 62-17 applies it to electronic payment instruments service providers, a contract to carry out financial instruments transactions (金融商品取引行為) with or for a customer; the table in Article 62-17, paragraph (2) replaces it with a specified contract for electronic payment instruments transaction (特定電子決済手段等取引契約).
For the individual enterprise tax (個人の事業税), the year containing the day a specified extraordinary disaster (特定非常災害) — a disaster designated under Article 2, paragraph 1 of the Act on Special Measures concerning Preservation of Rights and Interests of Victims of Specified Disaster — occurred; an individual who filed a blue return (青色申告書) for that year and meets one of the requirements of Article 70-2, paragraph 1 of the Income Tax Act can deduct that year's business loss for five fiscal years.
In Article 70-2, paragraphs (1), (2) and (4), the year that contains the day a disaster designated as a specified extraordinary disaster (特定非常災害) under Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Act on Special Measures concerning Preservation of Rights and Interests of Victims of Specified Disaster occurred.

In Article 47-2, paragraphs (6) and (8), an electronic payment instruments service provider as Article 2, paragraph (12) of the Payment Services Act defines it, including a person deemed one under Article 62-8, paragraph (2) of that Act (みなし電子決済手段等取引業者).
