改正後の昭和五十四年改正法（かいせいごのしょうわごじゅうよねんかいせいほう）

The Act Partially Amending the Act on Special Measures Concerning Taxation (Act No. 15 of 1979) as amended by the later Act whose supplementary provisions (附則) use the term: by Article 28 of the supplementary provisions of Act No. 9 of 1980, or by Article 18 of those of Act No. 13 of 1981.

小学校就学後第三学年修了前の児童（しょうがっこうしゅうがくごだいさんがくねんしゅうりょうまえのじどう）

In Article 2 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 108 of 2004, a child who has passed the first 31 March on or after the day they turn six but not the first 31 March on or after the day they turn nine.

坑内員・船員の老齢厚生年金の総額（こうないいん・せんいんのろうれいこうせいねんきんのそうがく）

In Article 13, paragraphs (3) and (4) of the supplementary provisions (附則), an employees' old-age pension for mine workers and mariners (坑内員・船員の老齢厚生年金) worked out as though Article 44-2, paragraph (1) of this Act as it stood before Act No. 63 of 2013, as Article 9-4, paragraph (3) or (5) of those supplementary provisions applies it, did not apply.

確定給付企業年金脱退一時金相当額（かくていきゅうふきぎょうねんきんだったいいちじきんそうとうがく）

In Articles 40 and 46 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 63 of 2013, an amount equal to a lump-sum withdrawal payment (脱退一時金) under Article 29, paragraph (1), item (ii) of the Defined-Benefit Corporate Pension Act as amended by Act No. 63 of 2013, which is moved to the surviving Pension Fund Association (存続連合会) under Article 46, paragraph (2) of those supplementary provisions so that the Association pays benefits to the early leaver.

小学校第三学年修了後小学校修了前の児童（しょうがっこうだいさんがくねんしゅうりょうごしょうがっこうしゅうりょうまえのじどう）

In Article 3 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 20 of 2006, a child who has passed the first 31 March on or after the day they turn nine but not the first 31 March on or after the day they turn twelve.

入院等（にゅういんとう）

In Article 13-3 of the supplementary provisions (附則), hospitalization, admission or moving in (入院、入所又は入居) at a hospital or facility (病院等) of the kinds Article 55, paragraph (1) lists.

大型仮免許（おおがたかりめんきょ）

The provisional large motor vehicle license (大型自動車仮免許) of Article 84, paragraph (5) of the Road Traffic Act as amended by Article 4 of Act No. 90 of 2004, as Article 6, paragraph (1) of that Act's supplementary provisions (附則) names it in saying which license held under the earlier wording is deemed to be which license under the new one; a provisional large motor vehicle license held under the earlier wording is deemed to be this one.

変更後地域密着型介護老人福祉施設（へんこうごちいきみっちゃくがたかいごろうじんふくししせつ）

In Article 13-3 of the supplementary provisions (附則), a designated facility covered by public aid providing long-term care to the elderly (指定介護老人福祉施設) that, by reducing its admission capacity, has become a community-based facility for the elderly covered by public aid requiring long-term care (地域密着型介護老人福祉施設) under Article 8, paragraph (22) of the Long-Term Care Insurance Act — a special nursing home for the elderly (特別養護老人ホーム) with 29 or fewer places — limited to one designated under the main clause of Article 42-2, paragraph (1) of that Act for a place of business giving daily-life care to its residents (地域密着型介護老人福祉施設入所者生活介護).

指定（してい）

In Article 117 of the supplementary provisions (附則), the prefectural governor's designation of a hospital or clinic as a specified regional medical care provider (特定地域医療提供機関) under Article 113, paragraph (1) of those provisions, which the governor may revoke on the grounds listed there.

傷病（しょうびょう）

An illness or injury, together with any illness it causes.

新法（しんぽう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Ministry of Finance Order No. 6 of 2019, the Income Tax Act as amended by Article 1 of the Act Partially Amending the Income Tax Act, etc. (Act No. 6 of 2019), as read under Article 6, paragraph (1) of that Act's supplementary provisions.

新法（しんぽう）

In Article 81 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 123 of 2005, the Public Assistance Act as amended by Article 79 of those supplementary provisions.

The Acts (法律) amended by Act No. 62 of 2026, and the orders made under them, as they stood before that Act amended them.

In the supplementary provisions of Ministry of Labour Order (労働省令) No. 51 of 1999, the fixed date of 31 March 2002, used to decide which working-hours rule applies in the week that includes it.

Short name for the Act on the Collection, etc. of Insurance Premiums of Labor Insurance (Act No. 84 of 1969).
