The work of exercising the right to demand an injunction (差止請求権) for the benefit of consumers at large, together with collecting the information on harm to consumers that this needs, and collecting and sharing information on the results of exercising that right that helps prevent and remedy harm to consumers; anyone who wants to do it needs the Prime Minister's certification.

主務大臣（しゅむだいじん）

In Chapter IV, on funds transfer transaction analysis (為替取引分析), the Prime Minister (内閣総理大臣) together with the Minister of Finance (財務大臣) where a funds transfer transaction analysis service provider (為替取引分析業者) carries on the work of Article 2, paragraph (21), item (i) — analysing, for financial institutions, whether their funds transfers are payments of the kinds that item lists by reference to foreign exchange law, and telling them the result — and the Prime Minister alone in any other case.

半期報告書（はんきほうこくしょ）

In Article 7, paragraph (1), Article 9, paragraph (1), Article 10, paragraph (1) and Article 22 as Article 24-5, paragraph (5) applies them, a semiannual securities report under Article 24-5, paragraph (1): the report that every company required to submit annual securities reports (有価証券報告書) must submit to the Prime Minister for the first six months of each business year, stating the particulars the table in that paragraph sets.

第二十四条の五第一項（同条第三項において準用する場合を含む。）に規定する半期報告書

臨時報告書（りんじほうこくしょ）

A report that a company required to file annual securities reports (有価証券報告書) must file with the Prime Minister without delay when its securities are publicly offered or distributed abroad or another case a Cabinet Office Order (内閣府令) specifies arises, stating what has happened.

第二十四条の五第四項に規定する臨時報告書

第三者型発行者（だいさんしゃがたはっこうしゃ）

A corporation registered by the Prime Minister under Article 7 to issue prepaid payment instruments for third-party business (第三者型前払式支払手段), as Article 3, paragraph (7) defines it.

第七条の登録を受けた法人

情報提供ネットワークシステム（じょうほうていきょうねっとわーくしすてむ）

The computer network, set up and managed by the Prime Minister (内閣総理大臣) under Article 21(1), that links by telecommunications lines the computers of administrative organs, local government bodies, incorporated administrative agencies and the other bodies Article 2(15) lists, including the persons referring and providing information under Article 19, items (viii) and (ix), to manage the provision of Specific Personal Information for Use (利用特定個人情報) under those items by encrypted communication.

親会社等状況報告書（おやがいしゃとうじょうきょうほうこくしょ）

The report that a parent company, etc. (親会社等) must submit to the Prime Minister for each of its business years, within three months after the year ends (within a period a Cabinet Order (政令) sets, for a foreign company), stating matters on those who own its shares and other matters a Cabinet Office Order (内閣府令) specifies, unless the Prime Minister has approved its not doing so.

第二十四条の七第一項に規定する親会社等状況報告書

手続実施基本契約（てつづきじっしきほんけいやく）

A contract on carrying out dispute resolution services, etc. (紛争解決等業務) concluded between a designated dispute resolution organization (指定紛争解決機関) and a business operator involved in financial instruments transactions (金融商品取引関係業者) — a financial instruments business operator, etc. or a securities finance company.

取扱有価証券（とりあつかいゆうかしょうけん）

Share certificates, bonds with share options (新株予約権付社債券) and other securities a Cabinet Office Order (内閣府令) specifies, whose solicitation for purchase and sale an authorized association (認可協会) does not forbid in its rules, other than securities listed on a financial instruments exchange, over-the-counter traded securities (店頭売買有価証券) and securities the Prime Minister specifies as restricted in circulation under those rules.

景品類（けいひんるい）

Goods, money or any other economic benefit that a business operator gives the other party along with a deal in the goods or services it supplies (real estate deals included), as a means of attracting customers, whether directly or indirectly and whether by lottery or not, and that the Prime Minister designates.

外国銀行代理銀行（がいこくぎんこうだいりぎんこう）

A bank that carries on foreign bank agency services (外国銀行代理業務) after obtaining authorization under Article 52-2, paragraph (1) or (2), or after filing a notification under paragraph (3) of that Article.

第五十二条の二第一項若しくは第二項の認可を受け、又は同条第三項の規定による届出をして外国銀行代理業務を営んでいる銀行

履行保証金信託契約（りこうほしょうきんしんたくけいやく）

In Chapter III, a trust agreement with a trust company, etc. (信託会社等) whose purpose is to use the trust property for depositing security for providing funds transfer services (履行保証金) when the Prime Minister orders it, under which the trustee does what that purpose needs, including managing the property.

当該信託会社等が内閣総理大臣の命令に応じて信託財産を履行保証金の供託に充てることを信託の目的として当該信託財産の管理その他の当該目的の達成のために必要な行為をすべき旨の信託契約

金融機関（きんゆうきかん）

In Article 128, paragraph (3) and the provisions after it, where a financial institution carrying on trust business (信託業務を営む金融機関) is meant: one authorised under Article 1, paragraph (1) of the Act on Engagement in Trust Business by Financial Institutions (Act No. 43 of 1943).

主務省令（しゅむしょうれい）

In this Act, an order (命令) issued, as a Cabinet Order (政令) provides, by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare or the Prime Minister.

An insurance company as defined in Article 2, paragraph (2) of the Insurance Business Act.

有価証券報告書（ゆうかしょうけんほうこくしょ）

An annual securities report: the report that a company issuing securities listed on a financial instruments exchange, or otherwise falling under Article 24, paragraph (1), must submit to the Prime Minister for each business year, setting out its trade name, the state of its corporate group and its accounts, and other important matters about its business, within three months after the year ends for a domestic company.

第二十四条第一項に規定する報告書

金融商品取引清算機関（きんゆうしょうひんとりひきせいさんきかん）

A financial instruments clearing organization as defined in Article 2, paragraph (29) of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act: a person carrying on financial instruments obligation assumption service (金融商品債務引受業) under a licence or approval of the Prime Minister under Article 156-2 or Article 156-19, paragraph (1) of that Act.

公益事業（こうえきじぎょう）

A business essential to the daily life of the public that is one of these: transport; postal, correspondence delivery or telecommunications services; the supply of water, electricity or gas; or medical care or public health. The Prime Minister may also, with the Diet's approval, designate another business as one for up to a year, where its stopping would seriously harm the national economy or seriously endanger the public's daily life.

次に掲げる事業であつて、公衆の日常生活に欠くことのできないもの

子会社対象会社（こがいしゃたいしょうがいしゃ）

A company that operates a financial instruments exchange market (取引所金融商品市場) and business incidental to it, or one of the companies the proviso to paragraph (1) of the same Article allows to be held as a subsidiary with the Prime Minister's authorization — the companies a financial instruments exchange or, in Article 106-24, a financial instruments exchange holding company may hold as subsidiary companies.
