The Personal Information Protection Commission (個人情報保護委員会), set up under Article 49, paragraph (3) of the Act for Establishment of the Cabinet Office.
In Article 61, an incorporated administrative agency (独立行政法人) of the kind Article 2, paragraph 4 of the Act on General Rules for Incorporated Administrative Agencies defines: one set up by its own Act to carry out public work closely tied to the national government's administration, under substantial government involvement, against a plan for targets the government sets for each business year.

指定都市
A designated city under Article 252-19, paragraph (1) of the Local Autonomy Act: a city with a population of 500,000 or more designated by Cabinet Order (政令).
A body designated by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism under Article 16-2, paragraph (1), which a prefectural governor can have run the real estate transaction specialist examination (宅地建物取引士資格試験).
家屋課税台帳等
The house tax ledger (家屋課税台帳) or the supplementary house tax ledger (家屋補充課税台帳), in which houses and their values for fixed assets tax (固定資産税) are registered.
The grades of disability in Article 47, paragraph (2): grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3, from the most severe, with the state of disability for each set by Cabinet Order (政令).
型式検定
The examination, by a registered agency for type examinations (登録型式検定機関), of the type (型式) of machinery or other equipment listed in Appended Table 4 and specified by Cabinet Order (政令), which its manufacturer or importer, or its foreign manufacturer, must or may undergo (Article 44-2, paragraphs (1) and (2)); a type passes only if the machinery's structure and the facilities for making and inspecting it meet standards set by a Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Order (厚生労働省令).
外国銀行
A person that carries on banking business in a foreign country under foreign laws and regulations, other than a bank, etc. (銀行等) as defined in Article 4, paragraph (5).
A contract for a multilevel marketing transaction (連鎖販売取引) connected with a multilevel marketing undertaking (連鎖販売業).
納付金
The levy for the employment of persons with disabilities (障害者雇用納付金) that the Japan Organization for Employment of the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities and Job Seekers (機構) collects from employers each fiscal year, as Subsection 2 of Section 2 of Chapter III provides, to cover the cost of the monetary adjustments, subsidies and other operations of Article 49, paragraph (1).
In Section 3 of Chapter V, on designated community-based service providers, except in Article 78-13, paragraph (1) and Article 78-14, paragraph (1), the place of business (事業所) where an applicant carries on a community-based service business (地域密着型サービス事業); the designation under the main clause of Article 42-2, paragraph (1) is made for each kind of community-based service and each such place of business.
The person a reviewing agency (審査庁) designates under Article 9, paragraph (1), from among its own staff (or from the list under Article 17 where it has made one), to conduct the proceedings on a request for review (審査請求).
