Article 13Regional Minimum Wages for Dispatched Workers

第十三条（派遣中の労働者の地域別最低賃金）

The provisions of Article 4 apply to dispatched workers prescribed in Article 44, paragraph (1) of the Act on Securing the Proper Operation of Worker Dispatching Businesses and Protecting Dispatched Workers (Act No. 88 of 1985) (referred to as "dispatched workers" in Article 18) on the basis of the amount of minimum wages established by the regional minimum wages decided for the region that includes the location of the place of business of the client engaged in the undertaking (meaning the undertaking engaged by the client of worker dispatch undertaking prescribed in Article 44, paragraph (1); the same applies in Article 18).

労働者派遣事業の適正な運営の確保及び派遣労働者の保護等に関する法律（昭和六十年法律第八十八号）第四十四条第一項に規定する派遣中の労働者（第十八条において「派遣中の労働者」という。）については、その派遣先の事業（同項に規定する派遣先の事業をいう。第十八条において同じ。）の事業場の所在地を含む地域について決定された地域別最低賃金において定める最低賃金額により第四条の規定を適用する。

worker
労働者（ろうどうしゃ）
A worker as defined in Article 9 of the Labor Standards Act (a person employed at a business or office and paid wages, whatever the kind of job), except a person employed at a business or office that employs only relatives living in the same household, and a domestic worker.
労働基準法（昭和二十二年法律第四十九号）第九条に規定する労働者（同居の親族のみを使用する事業又は事務所に使用される者及び家事使用人を除く。）

A minimum wage set for each region, which must be decided for every region of Japan so as to guarantee a minimum level of wages for low-paid workers.

A worker employed by one business owner and dispatched to work at another business owner's business, who is not employed by that other owner, as defined in Article 44, paragraph (1) of the Act on Ensuring the Proper Operation of Worker Dispatching Services and Protecting Dispatched Workers (leaving out those employed at a business that employs only relatives living in the same household, and domestic workers).
