Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Associated with the Partial Amendment of the Consumer Contract Act
第二条（消費者契約法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of Article 4, paragraph (3), item (vi) of the Consumer Contract Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 (hereinafter referred to as "the new Act" in this Article) (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 5, paragraph (1) of the Consumer Contract Act) apply to a manifestation of an intention to be bound by the offer of a consumer contract or by the acceptance of such an offer made on or after the date on which this Act comes into effect, and with regard to a manifestation of an intention to be bound by the offer of a consumer contract or by the acceptance of such an offer made before that date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
第一条の規定による改正後の消費者契約法（以下この条において「新法」という。）第四条第三項第六号（消費者契約法第五条第一項において準用する場合を含む。）の規定は、この法律の施行の日以後にされる消費者契約の申込み又はその承諾の意思表示について適用し、同日前にされた消費者契約の申込み又はその承諾の意思表示については、なお従前の例による。
The provisions of Article 7, paragraph (1) of the new Act also apply to the rescission right pertaining to a manifestation of an intention to be bound by the offer of a consumer contract or by the acceptance of such an offer made before this Act comes into effect; provided, however, that this does not apply if the prescription of the rescission right prescribed in Article 7, paragraph (1) of the Consumer Contract Act prior to the amendment by the provisions of Article 1 has already been completed at the time this Act comes into effect.
