Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one month from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the days specified in those items.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して一月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Basic Act on Disaster Management
第二条（災害対策基本法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
With regard to the organization, the delegation of authority of the head of a designated administrative organ, and the authority of the chairperson of the extraordinary disaster management headquarters, concerning an extraordinary disaster management headquarters actually established, at the time this Act comes into effect, pursuant to Article 24, paragraph (1) of the Basic Act on Disaster Management before amendment by Article 1 (referred to as the "Former Basic Act on Disaster Management" in the following paragraph and in Article 8 and Article 15 of the Supplementary Provisions), the provisions then in force continue to govern.
With regard to a recommendation or instruction to evacuate to take refuge, or an instruction for safety assurance measures such as taking shelter indoors, that is actually given, at the time this Act comes into effect, pursuant to Article 60, paragraph (1), (3) or (6) or Article 61, paragraph (1) of the Former Basic Act on Disaster Management, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行の際現に旧災害対策基本法第六十条第一項、第三項若しくは第六項又は第六十一条第一項の規定によりされている避難のための立退きの勧告若しくは指示又は屋内での待避等の安全確保措置の指示については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3Delegation to Cabinet Order
第三条（政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in these Supplementary Provisions, the transitional measures necessary in connection with the enforcement of this Act (including transitional measures concerning penal provisions) are specified by Cabinet Order.
この附則に定めるもののほか、この法律の施行に関し必要な経過措置（罰則に関する経過措置を含む。）は、政令で定める。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Review
第四条（検討）
The government is to, at an appropriate time after this Act comes into effect, examine the provisions of the respective Acts as amended by this Act, taking into consideration the state of their enforcement, etc., and if it finds it necessary, take necessary measures based on the results.
政府は、この法律の施行後適当な時期において、この法律による改正後のそれぞれの法律の規定について、その施行の状況等を勘案して検討を加え、必要があると認めるときは、その結果に基づいて必要な措置を講ずるものとする。
designated administrative organs
「指定行政機関」
The national administrative organs the Prime Minister designates from among the Cabinet Office (内閣府), the Imperial Household Agency, the Digital Agency, the Disaster Management Agency, the ministries, commissions and agencies, and the councils, facilities, special organs and other bodies set up under them.
