When a prefectural governor finds it particularly necessary for ensuring accurate and smooth implementation of emergency measures at the municipal level within the area of a prefecture, the governor may give necessary instructions with respect to the implementation of emergency measures to the mayor of a municipality, or give instructions for support to mayors of other municipalities.
都道府県知事は、当該都道府県の区域内の市町村の実施する応急措置が的確かつ円滑に行なわれるようにするため特に必要があると認めるときは、市町村長に対し、応急措置の実施について必要な指示をし、又は他の市町村長を応援すべきことを指示することができる。
When a prefectural governor finds it particularly necessary for ensuring accurate and smooth implementation of emergency disaster control measures (emergency measures are excluded; hereinafter the same applies in this paragraph) at the municipal level within the area of a prefecture, the governor may ask the mayor of a municipality to implement emergency disaster control measures or to support mayors of other municipalities.
都道府県知事は、当該都道府県の区域内の市町村の実施する災害応急対策（応急措置を除く。以下この項において同じ。）が的確かつ円滑に行われるようにするため特に必要があると認めるときは、市町村長に対し、災害応急対策の実施を求め、又は他の市町村長を応援することを求めることができる。
Those who render the support concerning instructions or requests from the prefectural governor under the preceding two paragraphs are to act under the direction of the mayor of a municipality receiving the support insofar as the implementation of emergency disaster control measures is concerned.
前二項の規定による都道府県知事の指示又は要求に係る応援に従事する者は、災害応急対策の実施については、当該応援を受ける市町村長の指揮の下に行動するものとする。
