Supplementary Provisions, Article 6Transitional Measures Concerning the Treatment of Covered Employees Who Move Between Specified Industries, etc.

The provisions of the portion of Article 46, paragraph (1) other than its items and the portion of Article 55, paragraph (1) other than its items of the New SME Retirement Allowance Act apply to the transfer of an amount equivalent to a retirement allowance (meaning a retirement allowance or an amount equivalent to a retirement allowance prescribed in Article 46, paragraph (1) of the New SME Retirement Allowance Act and a retirement allowance or an amount equivalent to a retirement allowance prescribed in Article 55, paragraph (1) of the New SME Retirement Allowance Act) pertaining to a person for whom the grounds for payment arise on or after the Effective Date, and the provisions then in force continue to govern the transfer of an amount equivalent to a retirement allowance (meaning a retirement allowance or an amount equivalent to a retirement allowance prescribed in Article 46, paragraph (1) of the Former SME Retirement Allowance Act and a retirement allowance or an amount equivalent to a retirement allowance prescribed in Article 55, paragraph (1) of the Former SME Retirement Allowance Act) pertaining to a person for whom the grounds for payment arose before the Effective Date.
