Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding six months from January 6, 2001 provided, however, that the provisions of Article 1 come into effect on the day on which one month has elapsed from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、平成十三年一月六日から起算して六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、第一条の規定は、公布の日から起算して一月を経過した日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures
第二条（経過措置）
The provisions of Article 25 of the Act on Prohibition of Private Monopolization and Maintenance of Fair Trade as amended (hereinafter referred to as the "New Act"), except for what is provided for in the following paragraph, apply to acts that commenced on or after the date on which this Act comes into effect (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date"), and with regard to acts that had already ceased to exist before the Effective Date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
The provisions of Article 25 of the New Act apply to the portion on or after the Effective Date of acts that commenced before the Effective Date and ended on or after the Effective Date, and with regard to the portion of those acts before the Effective Date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
