If a principal obligor reimburses a guarantor pursuant to the provisions of the preceding Article, the principal obligor may demand the guarantor to provide security or to obtain an exemption for the principal obligor until the obligee receives the full satisfaction of the entire obligation.
前条の規定により主たる債務者が保証人に対して償還をする場合において、債権者が全部の弁済を受けない間は、主たる債務者は、保証人に担保を供させ、又は保証人に対して自己に免責を得させることを請求することができる。
In the case prescribed in the preceding paragraph, the principal obligor may be released from the obligation for reimbursement by making a deposit with an official depository, by providing security, or by procuring the discharge of the liabilities of the guarantor.
