Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Principles of Transitional Measures
第二条（経過措置の原則）
The provisions of the Courts Act, the Code of Civil Procedure, the Act on the Costs of Civil Proceedings, the Patent Act, the Utility Model Act, the Design Act, the Trademark Act, the Unfair Competition Prevention Act and the Copyright Act as amended by this Act (excluding penal provisions) also apply to matters that arose before this Act comes into effect, except where these Supplementary Provisions provide otherwise; provided, however, that this does not affect the effect that arose under the provisions of those Acts before their amendment by this Act.
この法律による改正後の裁判所法、民事訴訟法、民事訴訟費用等に関する法律、特許法、実用新案法、意匠法、商標法、不正競争防止法及び著作権法の規定（罰則を除く。）は、この附則に特別の定めがある場合を除き、この法律の施行前に生じた事項にも適用する。ただし、この法律による改正前のこれらの法律の規定により生じた効力を妨げない。
