Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year and six months from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions listed in the following items come into effect as of the date specified in the respective items.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。

Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act
第二条（不正競争防止法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of Articles 3 through 5, Article 14 and Article 15, paragraph (2) of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 (excluding the amending provisions set forth in item (iii) of the preceding Article) (hereinafter in this paragraph referred to as the "New Unfair Competition Prevention Act") do not apply to unfair competition set forth in Article 2, paragraph (1), items (xi) through (xiii), item (xv) or item (xvi) of the New Unfair Competition Prevention Act that relates to an act equivalent to an act of wrongful acquisition of shared data with limited access prescribed in item (xi) of that paragraph or an act equivalent to improper disclosure of shared data with limited access prescribed in item (xv) of that paragraph, committed before the date this Act comes into effect (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date"), and that is committed on or after the Effective Date (excluding that which falls under an act equivalent to the acts set forth in the following items), or to an act of continuing an act equivalent to the act of using shared data with limited access prescribed in item (xiv) of that paragraph that was commenced before the Effective Date.
第一条の規定（前条第三号に掲げる改正規定を除く。）による改正後の不正競争防止法（以下この項において「新不競法」という。）第三条から第五条まで、第十四条及び第十五条第二項の規定は、この法律の施行の日（以下「施行日」という。）前に行われた新不競法第二条第一項第十一号に規定する限定提供データ不正取得行為に相当する行為又は同項第十五号に規定する限定提供データ不正開示行為に相当する行為に係る同項第十一号から第十三号まで、第十五号又は第十六号に掲げる不正競争であって施行日以後に行われるもの（次の各号に掲げる行為に相当する行為に該当するものを除く。）及び施行日前に開始した同項第十四号に規定する限定提供データを使用する行為に相当する行為を継続する行為については、適用しない。

With regard to the application of Article 2, paragraph (1), item (xi) of the Unfair Competition Prevention Act as amended by the provisions of Article 1 (limited to the amending provisions set forth in item (iii) of the preceding Article) during the period from the date on which the provisions set forth in item (iii) of the preceding Article come into effect to the Effective Date, the phrase "paragraph (8)" in that item is deemed to be replaced with "paragraph (7)".
Supplementary Provisions, Article 17Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第十七条（罰則に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律の施行前にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 18Delegation to Cabinet Order
第十八条（政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in these Supplementary Provisions, transitional measures necessary for the enforcement of this Act (including transitional measures concerning penal provisions) are specified by Cabinet Order.
この附則に規定するもののほか、この法律の施行に関し必要な経過措置（罰則に関する経過措置を含む。）は、政令で定める。
