信託専門会社（しんたくせんもんがいしゃ）

A trust company as defined in Article 2, paragraph (2) of the Trust Business Act that engages exclusively in trust business (信託業務) as defined in Article 1, paragraph (1) of the Act on Engagement in Trust Business by Financial Institutions; it is one of the companies a bank or bank holding company may have as a subsidiary company (子会社).

特定健康診査等（とくていけんこうしんさとう）

In Article 150, paragraph (1) and Article 154-2, the specified health checks (特定健康診査) under Article 20 and the specified health guidance (特定保健指導) under Article 24 of the Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People, which insurers must provide.

金銭以外の支払手段（きんせんいがいのしはらいしゅだん）

Prepaid payment instruments under Article 3, paragraph (1), item (i) of the Payment Services Act issued by a third-party type issuer under paragraph (7) of that Article, and others a Cabinet Office Order (内閣府令) names, that meet the standard a Cabinet Office Order sets for being usable in the ordinary way like money.

租税条約等実施特例法（そぜいじょうやくとうじっしとくれいほう）

Short name for the Act on Special Provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Corporation Tax Act and the Local Tax Act Incidental to Enforcement of Tax Treaties, etc. (Act No. 46 of 1969).

持分会社の社員の除名の訴え（もちぶんがいしゃのしゃいんのじょめいのうったえ）

A lawsuit under Article 859 in which a membership company (持分会社), on a resolution of a majority of its other members, seeks the expulsion of a member (社員) on one of the grounds that Article lists, such as failing to make the promised contribution or otherwise failing in an important duty.

会社（かいしゃ）

In Article 4, paragraph (1), Japan Tobacco Inc. (日本たばこ産業株式会社), part of whose shares that paragraph moves without charge from the Investment Account of the Fiscal Investment and Loan Program Special Account (財政投融資特別会計) to the Government Debt Consolidation Fund Special Account (国債整理基金特別会計).

規約（きやく）

The articles of incorporation of an investment corporation (投資法人) under Article 67, paragraph (1) of the Act on Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations, under which it acquires real property for the reduced registration and license tax (登録免許税) rate in Article 83-2-2, paragraph (3).

国等（くにとう）

In Article 32, paragraph (2), the national government and the corporations set up under special Acts that a Cabinet Order (政令) names because the national government provides all or most of their capital or the main funds for their operations.

信書便（しんしょびん）

Delivery of correspondence by a general or specified correspondence delivery operator as defined in the Act on Correspondence Delivery by Private Business Operators, which this Act allows, besides the post and delivery by hand, for serving documents at the place of residence (住居地) of the person they are addressed to.

特例法（とくれいほう）

Short name for the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan (Act No. 71 of 1991).

報告等（ほうこくとう）

In Article 47, a report, a notification, or the submission of documents or other items that an administrative agency (行政庁) orders as needed to enforce this Act.

特例法（とくれいほう）

Short name for the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan (Act No. 71 of 1991).

旧商法（きゅうしょうほう）

The Commercial Code as it stood before Article 64 of the Act on Arrangement of Relevant Acts Incidental to Enforcement of the Companies Act (Act No. 87 of 2005) amended it.

機構法（きこうほう）

Short name, in Article 73-4, paragraph 1, item 32, for the Act on the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization, National Research and Development Agency (Act No. 192 of 1999).

届書等（とどけしょとう）

A written notification (届書), written application (申請書) or other document that this Act requires to be submitted and that a Ministry of Justice Order (法務省令) names as needed for making an entry in a family register (戸籍), when a designated mayor (指定市町村長) receives it.

旧商法（きゅうしょうほう）

In Article 97-2, paragraph (1), the commercial law of 1899 (商法, Act No. 48 of 1899) as it stood before Article 64 of the Act on Arrangement of Relevant Acts Incidental to Enforcement of the Companies Act (Act No. 87 of 2005) amended it.

信書便（しんしょびん）

Correspondence delivery as defined in Article 2, paragraph (2) of the Act on Correspondence Delivery by Private Business Operators, that is, delivering other people's letters other than by post; under Article 17, a special permanent resident certificate (特別永住者証明書) being returned is sent by post or by correspondence delivery.

改正法（かいせいほう）

In Article 52, paragraph (2), item (ii), short name for the 2011 Act partially amending the Income Tax Act and other laws to build a tax system suited to changes in the structure of the economy and society (Act No. 114 of 2011).

廃止法（はいしほう）

Short name, in Article 71-4(1)(i), for Act No. 146 of 2002, the 2002 law abolishing the law on the Japan Small and Medium Enterprise Corporation (中小企業総合事業団法) and the law on machinery credit insurance (機械類信用保険法), among other things.

事業団（じぎょうだん）

The Transportation Facilities Development Corporation (運輸施設整備事業団) as it existed before it was dissolved under Article 3, paragraph 1 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the Act on the Japan Railway Construction, Transport and Technology Agency, Independent Administrative Agency, as used in Article 84-3, paragraph 4 on registration of rights that passed from the Shinkansen Railway Holding Corporation (新幹線鉄道保有機構) through it to that Agency.
