A person who possesses a forged or altered residence card (including a residence card on which a forged or altered residence card electronic or magnetic record set forth in paragraph (1) of the preceding Article is recorded) for the purpose of uttering is punished with imprisonment for not more than 5 years or a fine not exceeding 500,000 yen.
行使の目的で、偽造され、又は変造された在留カード（偽造され、又は変造された前条第一項の在留カード電磁的記録が記録されたものを含む。）を所持した者は、五年以下の拘禁刑又は五十万円以下の罰金に処する。
The preceding paragraph also applies to a person who, for the purpose of causing another person to err in the processing of their affairs, possesses a residence card on which an unlawfully created residence card electronic or magnetic record is recorded.
人の事務処理を誤らせる目的で、不正に作られた在留カード電磁的記録が記録された在留カードを所持した者も、前項と同様とする。
Paragraph (1) also applies to a person who keeps a forged, altered or unlawfully created residence card electronic or magnetic record for the purpose of uttering or for the purpose of causing another person to err in the processing of their affairs.
行使の目的又は人の事務処理を誤らせる目的で、偽造され、若しくは変造され、又は不正に作られた在留カード電磁的記録を保管した者も、第一項と同様とする。
