Article 1-5Revision of Pension Amount, etc. in Cases Where Article 26, Paragraph (1) of the Act Applies

①The previous standard monthly remuneration prescribed in Article 26, paragraph (1) of the Act that has been deemed, pursuant to Article 26, paragraph (1) of the Act, to be the standard monthly remuneration forming the basis for calculating the average standardized amount of remuneration prescribed in Article 43, paragraph (1) of the Act for the month in which it falls below that amount is to be the basis for calculation when revising the amount of a pension pursuant to Article 43, paragraphs (2) and (3) of the Act, and Article 7-3, paragraph (5) and Article 13-4, paragraphs (5) and (6) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act.

②When a request under Article 26, paragraph (1) of the Act has been accepted by the employer of the place of business or office (hereinafter simply referred to as the "place of business") at which the insured person (limited to a category I EPI insured prescribed in Article 2-5, paragraph (1), item (i) of the Act (hereinafter referred to as a "category I EPI insured") or a category IV EPI insured prescribed in item (iv) of that paragraph (hereinafter referred to as a "category IV EPI insured")) is employed, the request is deemed to have been made, at the time of its acceptance, to the Japan Pension Service (hereinafter referred to as "JPS") or to the Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation for Private Schools of Japan as an implementing organization (meaning an implementing organization prescribed in Article 2-5, paragraph (1) of the Act; the same applies hereinafter).
