If the ownership of a thing is extinguished pursuant to the provisions of Article 242 through the preceding Article, other rights existing on that thing are also extinguished.
第二百四十二条から前条までの規定により物の所有権が消滅したときは、その物について存する他の権利も、消滅する。
In the cases prescribed in the preceding paragraph, if the owner of a thing has become the sole owner of the thing formed by accession or appurtenance, mixture or processing (referred to as "composite thing" in this paragraph below), other rights existing on that thing thereafter exist on the composite thing, and if the owner of the thing becomes a co-owner of the composite thing, other rights existing on that thing thereafter exist on that owner's interest in the same.
前項に規定する場合において、物の所有者が、合成物、混和物又は加工物（以下この項において「合成物等」という。）の単独所有者となったときは、その物について存する他の権利は以後その合成物等について存し、物の所有者が合成物等の共有者となったときは、その物について存する他の権利は以後その持分について存する。
