附 則
This Act comes into effect as of the day on which the Act Partially Amending the Commercial Code, etc. (Act No. 71 of 1997) comes into effect.
この法律は、商法等の一部を改正する法律（平成九年法律第七十一号）の施行の日から施行する。
Prior laws continue to govern the merger under a merger contract that has been concluded before this Act comes into effect.
この法律の施行前に締結された合併契約に係る合併に関しては、この法律の施行後も、なお従前の例による。
Prior laws continue to govern the applicability of penal provisions to acts which a person has committed before this Act comes into effect, as well as to acts which a person commits after this Act comes into effect related to the particulars for which prior laws are to continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
この法律の施行前にした行為及び前項の規定により従前の例によることとされる場合におけるこの法律の施行後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
