A person who is involved, in the course of their official duties, in the protection of the person targeted, the investigation, the trial, etc. relating to stalking, etc. (referred to as a "person involved through official duties" in the following paragraph) must, in performing those duties, give sufficient consideration to ensuring the safety of the person targeted by that stalking, etc. and to maintaining confidentiality.
The national government and local public entities are to provide persons involved through official duties with the training and awareness-raising necessary to deepen their understanding of the human rights of persons targeted by stalking, etc., the characteristics of stalking, etc., and the like.
Beyond what is provided for in the preceding two paragraphs, the national government, local public entities, etc. must endeavor to take the measures necessary for preventing stalking, etc. in managing the personal information they hold.
