Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 3 years from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して三年を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。

the provisions of Article 1 (excluding the amending provisions set forth in the preceding item) and Article 6, the following Article, and Articles 4, 6, 8, 10, 11 (limited to the provisions amending the row for Article 43, paragraph (4), Article 69, Article 76, paragraph (2), Article 85, Article 108, paragraph (3), Article 125, paragraph (1), Article 163, paragraph (1), Article 169, Article 278-2, paragraph (2), Article 297, paragraph (2), Article 316-11 in the table in Article 64, paragraph (1) of the Act on Criminal Trials with the Participation of Saiban-in (Act No. 63 of 2004), and Article 65, paragraph (4) of that Act) and Articles 12 through 15 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding six months from the date of promulgation.
第一条（前号に掲げる改正規定を除く。）及び第六条の規定並びに次条並びに附則第四条、第六条、第八条、第十条、第十一条（裁判員の参加する刑事裁判に関する法律（平成十六年法律第六十三号）第六十四条第一項の表第四十三条第四項、第六十九条、第七十六条第二項、第八十五条、第百八条第三項、第百二十五条第一項、第百六十三条第一項、第百六十九条、第二百七十八条の二第二項、第二百九十七条第二項、第三百十六条の十一の項及び第六十五条第四項の改正規定に限る。）及び第十二条から第十五条までの規定 公布の日から起算して六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日
