Supplementary Provisions, Article 5Transitional Measures Accompanying the Enforcement of the Provisions of Article 35
第五条（第三十五条の規定の施行に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of Article 22, paragraph (2) of the Act on Land and Building Leases as amended by the provisions of Article 35 (hereinafter referred to as "the new Act on Land and Building Leases" in this Article) apply to a special agreement referred to in the first sentence of Article 22, paragraph (1) of the new Act on Land and Building Leases that is made on or after the date on which the provisions of Article 35 come into effect.
第三十五条の規定による改正後の借地借家法（以下この条において「新借地借家法」という。）第二十二条第二項の規定は、第三十五条の規定の施行の日以後にされる新借地借家法第二十二条第一項前段の特約について適用する。
The provisions of Article 38, paragraph (2) of the new Act on Land and Building Leases apply to a building lease contract under the provisions of Article 38, paragraph (1) of the new Act on Land and Building Leases that is concluded on or after the date on which the provisions of Article 35 come into effect.
新借地借家法第三十八条第二項の規定は、第三十五条の規定の施行の日以後にされる新借地借家法第三十八条第一項の規定による建物の賃貸借の契約について適用する。
The provisions of Article 39, paragraph (3) of the new Act on Land and Building Leases apply to a special agreement referred to in Article 39, paragraph (1) of the new Act on Land and Building Leases that is concluded on or after the date on which the provisions of Article 35 come into effect.
新借地借家法第三十九条第三項の規定は、第三十五条の規定の施行の日以後にされる新借地借家法第三十九条第一項の特約について適用する。
