Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the day specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding six months from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Act on Building Unit Ownership
第二条（建物の区分所有等に関する法律の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of the Act on Building Unit Ownership as amended by Article 1 also apply to matters that arose before this Act comes into effect, except as otherwise provided; provided, however, that this does not prejudice any effect that has arisen under the provisions of the Act on Building Unit Ownership prior to the amendment by that Article (hereinafter referred to as the "former Building Unit Ownership Act").
第一条の規定による改正後の建物の区分所有等に関する法律の規定は、特別の定めがある場合を除いて、この法律の施行前に生じた事項にも適用する。ただし、同条の規定による改正前の建物の区分所有等に関する法律（以下「旧区分所有法」という。）の規定により生じた効力を妨げない。
The provisions then in force continue to govern a request for purchase made after this Act comes into effect with regard to a building and rights to its grounds for which a request for purchase under the provisions of Article 61, paragraph (7) of the former Building Unit Ownership Act was made before this Act comes into effect.
この法律の施行前に旧区分所有法第六十一条第七項の規定による買取請求があった建物及びその敷地に関する権利に関するこの法律の施行後にする買取請求については、なお従前の例による。
The provisions then in force continue to govern a resolution to reconstruct adopted after this Act comes into effect at a meeting for which the convocation procedures commenced before this Act comes into effect.
この法律の施行前に招集の手続が開始された集会においてこの法律の施行後にする建替え決議については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 9Transitional Measures Concerning Penal Provisions
第九条（罰則に関する経過措置）
The provisions then in force continue to govern the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act comes into effect in violation of the provisions of the former Building Unit Ownership Act or of the Act on Special Measures Concerning the Reconstruction, etc. of Buildings under Unit Ownership Damaged by Disasters prior to the amendment by Article 7 of the Supplementary Provisions.
この法律の施行前にした旧区分所有法又は附則第七条の規定による改正前の被災区分所有建物の再建等に関する特別措置法の規定に違反する行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
