In this Act, the meanings of the terms set forth in the following items are as prescribed respectively in those items:
この法律において、次の各号に掲げる用語の意義は、当該各号に定めるところによる。
person with a "disability":a person who has a physical impairment, intellectual impairment, mental impairment (including any prescribed developmental impairment; the same applies in item (vi)), or other such impairment of their physical or mental functions (hereinafter the term for any one of these is "impairment"), and faces substantial, prolonged limitations in their working life or extreme, prolonged difficulty in having a working life because of this;
障害者 身体障害、知的障害、精神障害（発達障害を含む。第六号において同じ。）その他の心身の機能の障害（以下「障害」と総称する。）があるため、長期にわたり、職業生活に相当の制限を受け、又は職業生活を営むことが著しく困難な者をいう。
person with a physical disability:a person with a disability who has a physical impairment, and whose impairment is set forth in the Appended Table;
person with a severe physical disability:a person with a physical disability whose degree of physical impairment is severe, and who is as provided for by Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
重度身体障害者 身体障害者のうち、身体障害の程度が重い者であつて厚生労働省令で定めるものをいう。
person with an intellectual disability:a person with a disability who has an intellectual impairment, and who is as provided for by Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
知的障害者 障害者のうち、知的障害がある者であつて厚生労働省令で定めるものをいう。
person with a severe intellectual disability:a person with an intellectual disability whose degree of intellectual impairment is severe, and who is as provided for by Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
重度知的障害者 知的障害者のうち、知的障害の程度が重い者であつて厚生労働省令で定めるものをいう。
person with a mental disability:a person with a disability who has a mental impairment, and who is as provided for by Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
精神障害者 障害者のうち、精神障害がある者であつて厚生労働省令で定めるものをいう。
vocational rehabilitation:encouraging independence in the working lives of persons with disabilities by implementing vocational guidance, vocational training, job placement, and other measures provided for in this Act for them.
職業リハビリテーション 障害者に対して職業指導、職業訓練、職業紹介その他この法律に定める措置を講じ、その職業生活における自立を図ることをいう。
