If the mayor of a municipality finds that the circumstances fall under any of the following items, regarding the notifying person, parties to the event under notification, or other relevant persons, the mayor may ask them questions or request that they submit necessary documents.
市町村長は、次の各号のいずれかに該当すると認めるときは、届出人、届出事件の本人その他の関係者に対し、質問をし、又は必要な書類の提出を求めることができる。
if particulars that the notifying person is required to clarify pursuant to the provisions of this Act have not been clarified at the time the mayor accepts the notification; or
届出の受理に際し、この法律の規定により届出人が明らかにすべき事項が明らかにされていないとき。
if otherwise necessary to make entries in the family register.
