個人情報（ こじんじょうほう ）
Information about a living individual that either can identify that particular person by a name, date of birth or other identifier or the equivalent (記述等) it contains — including information that can easily be matched with other information and so identify the person — or contains an individual identification code (個人識別符号).
生存する個人に関する情報であって、次の各号のいずれかに該当するもの

仮名加工情報（ かめいかこうじょうほう ）
Information about an individual obtained by processing personal information so that it cannot identify a particular person unless matched with other information: by deleting some of the identifiers or the equivalent (記述等) it contains, or all of its individual identification codes (個人識別符号), or by replacing them in a way that leaves no pattern from which they could be restored.
次の各号に掲げる個人情報の区分に応じて当該各号に定める措置を講じて他の情報と照合しない限り特定の個人を識別することができないように個人情報を加工して得られる個人に関する情報

匿名加工情報（ とくめいかこうじょうほう ）
Information about an individual obtained by processing personal information so that no particular person can be identified from it and the personal information cannot be restored: by deleting some of the identifiers or the equivalent (記述等) it contains, or all of its individual identification codes (個人識別符号), or by replacing them in a way that leaves no pattern from which they could be restored.
次の各号に掲げる個人情報の区分に応じて当該各号に定める措置を講じて特定の個人を識別することができないように個人情報を加工して得られる個人に関する情報であって、当該個人情報を復元することができないようにしたもの

開示等の請求等（ かいじとうのせいきゅうとう ）
In Article 37 and Article 54, paragraph (1), a demand under Article 32, paragraph (2) to be told the purpose of use of personal data the business holds (保有個人データ), or a request under Article 33, paragraph (1) (also as paragraph (5) of that Article applies it to records of provision to a third party), Article 34, paragraph (1) or Article 35, paragraph (1), (3) or (5) for disclosure, for correction, or for ceasing to use, erasing or ceasing to provide that data to third parties.

認定個人情報保護団体（ にんていこじんじょうほうほごだんたい ）
In Section 5 of Chapter IV and in Chapter VI, a body certified by the Personal Information Protection Commission (個人情報保護委員会) under Article 47, paragraph (1), including a certification of a change in the scope of its work under Article 50, paragraph (1), to handle complaints about, and otherwise help ensure, the proper handling of personal or other related information (個人情報等) by the businesses its work covers.

個人情報保護指針（ こじんじょうほうほごししん ）
In Section 5 of Chapter IV and in Chapter VI, guidelines in keeping with the aims of this Act that a certified personal information protection organization (認定個人情報保護団体) is to try to draw up, after hearing consumer representatives and other interested parties, on matters such as specifying the purpose of use of personal information, security measures and the procedures for requests for disclosure, or on how pseudonymized or anonymized personal information is made and kept secure, so that its covered businesses (対象事業者) handle personal information and the like properly.
