Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year and six months from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 26Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the National Health Insurance Act
第二十六条（国民健康保険法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions then in force continue to govern the payment of medical expenses or high-cost medical expenses for medical treatment received before the Effective Date by an insured person of national health insurance who falls under any of the items of Article 25, paragraph (1).
国民健康保険の被保険者であつて第二十五条第一項各号のいずれかに該当するものが、施行日前に受けた療養に係る療養費又は高額療養費の支給については、なお従前の例による。
The provisions then in force continue to govern the return of expenses for benefits for medical treatment paid by means of deception or other wrongful acts committed before the Effective Date by an institution handling medical treatment prescribed in Article 36, paragraph (4) of the National Health Insurance Act.
国民健康保険法第三十六条第四項に規定する療養取扱機関が施行日前にした偽りその他不正の行為により支払われた療養の給付に関する費用の返還については、なお従前の例による。
The provisions of Article 76 of the National Health Insurance Act as amended by this Act apply beginning with the insurance premiums for the fiscal year following the fiscal year of enforcement (or, if the Effective Date falls on the first day of a fiscal year, the fiscal year of enforcement), and the provisions then in force continue to govern the insurance premiums up to and including those for the fiscal year of enforcement (or, if the Effective Date falls on the first day of a fiscal year, the fiscal year preceding the fiscal year of enforcement).
この法律による改正後の国民健康保険法第七十六条の規定は、施行年度の翌年度（施行日が年度の初日に当たる場合は、施行年度）分の保険料から適用し、施行年度（施行日が年度の初日に当たる場合は、施行年度の前年度）分までの保険料については、なお従前の例による。
The provisions then in force continue to govern the application of penal provisions under the provisions of the National Health Insurance Act to acts committed before the Effective Date.
施行日前にした行為に対する国民健康保険法の規定による罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 40Collection of Special Levy for Health and Medical Services for the Elderly
第四十条（老人保健特別徴収金の徴収）
Except where the Effective Date falls on the first day of a fiscal year, an insurer of national health insurance is to cover the expenses for payment of the contribution for the fiscal year of enforcement with the revenue of that fiscal year. In this case, where the estimated amount of expenditures for that fiscal year exceeds the estimated amount of revenue for that fiscal year, it may collect the special levy for health and medical services for the elderly, within the scope of the excess amount, from the Householder of the household to which an insured person of national health insurance belongs or from a Society member of a National Health Insurance Society.
The provisions of Articles 77 through 81, Article 110, Article 113 and Article 127, paragraph (2) (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 128, paragraph (1)) of the National Health Insurance Act apply mutatis mutandis to the special levy for health and medical services for the elderly.
老人保健特別徴収金については、国民健康保険法第七十七条から第八十一条まで、第百十条、第百十三条及び第百二十七条第二項（第百二十八条第一項において準用する場合を含む。）の規定を準用する。
