Article 49第四十九条

    If the person specified in the preceding Article provides or misappropriates the Individual Numbers that same person has learnt in the course of the operation for the purpose of acquiring an unlawful economic benefit for the same or a third party or of causing damage to the person themselves or another person, said person is punished by imprisonment for three years or less, by a fine of one million five hundred thousand yen or less, or by both.

    前条に規定する者が、その業務に関して知り得た個人番号を自己若しくは第三者の不正な利益を図り、若しくは本人その他の者に損害を加える目的で提供し、又は盗用したときは、三年以下の拘禁刑若しくは百五十万円以下の罰金に処し、又はこれを併科する。

    If Individual Numbers are obtained by deceiving, assaulting, or intimidating a person or, by stealing or damaging property, trespassing on a facility, intercepting wire telecommunications, hacking (which means an act of unauthorized access as prescribed in Article 2, paragraph (4) of the Act on Prohibition of Unauthorized Computer Access (Act No. 128 of 1999)) or committing any other act harmful to the management of an Individual Number holder, the person who committed the violating actsaid violation is punished by imprisonment for three years or less or by a fine of one million five hundred thousand yen or less.

    人を欺き、人に暴行を加え、若しくは人を脅迫する行為により、又は財物の窃取若しくは損壊、施設への侵入、有線電気通信の傍受、不正アクセス行為（不正アクセス行為の禁止等に関する法律（平成十一年法律第百二十八号）第二条第四項に規定する不正アクセス行為をいう。）その他の個人番号を保有する者の管理を害する行為により、個人番号を取得したときは、当該違反行為をした者は、三年以下の拘禁刑又は百五十万円以下の罰金に処する。
