地域医療構想（ ちいきいりょうこうそう ）
The vision of the future medical care delivery system in each vision area (構想区域), including the future number of beds needed for each functional classification of beds, that a prefecture sets in its medical care plan under Article 30-4, paragraph (2), item (vii).

地域包括ケアシステム（ ちいきほうかつけあしすてむ ）
The community-based integrated care system as defined in Article 2, paragraph (1) of the Act on Promotion of Comprehensive Securing of Medical and Long-Term Care in Communities: arrangements, suited to each area, that comprehensively secure medical care, long-term care, prevention of the need for long-term care or support, housing and support for independent daily life, so that older people can as far as possible live independently, as they are able, in the community they know.

医療連携推進区域（ いりょうれんけいすいしんくいき ）
The area, set in its articles of incorporation (定款), in which a general incorporated association seeking approval for medical coordination promotion (医療連携推進認定) promotes coordination of the work of hospitals, clinics and similar facilities, and in whose prefecture (or one of them, where it spans several) it seeks that approval.
