With regard to the application of the provisions of Article 33 of the Act on Measures against Infringement of Rights, etc. Arising from the Distribution of Information through specified telecommunications as amended by this Act (referred to as the "New Act" in the following Article) during the period from the date of enforcement of this Act until the day preceding the date of enforcement of the provisions set forth in Article 1, item (ii) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Basic Act on the Formation of a Digital Society, etc. for Promoting Regulatory Reform to Achieve the Formation of a Digital Society (Act No. 63 of 2023) (referred to as the "Effective Date of the 2023 Digital Society Amendments" in this Article), the phrase "the effect, placing it in a state where it can be viewed by unspecified and numerous persons by the method specified by Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and, in addition, a document stating that effect" in paragraph (2) of that Article is deemed to be replaced with "the effect", the phrase "posts it on the bulletin board or displays that effect on the screen of a computer installed at an office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and takes measures to place it in a state where it can be viewed" is deemed to be replaced with "posts it on the bulletin board", and in paragraph (3) of that Article, the phrase "the measures were commenced" is deemed to be replaced with "the posting was started". The same applies to the application of the provisions of that Article, on or after the Effective Date of the 2023 Digital Society Amendments, to service by publication made before the Effective Date of the 2023 Digital Society Amendments.
