Article 24Administrative Affairs of Municipalities Where an Application Deemed to Be an Application under Article 29, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the amending Act Is Made, etc.
第二十四条（改正法附則第二十九条第一項の申請とみなされる申請があった場合等の市町村の事務）
When a special permanent resident has made, between one month before the effective date of the amending Act and the day preceding the effective date of the amending Act, an application under Article 3, paragraph (1) or Article 7, paragraph (1) of the former Alien Registration Act (excluding the case where an alien registration certificate pertaining to the application is to be issued), the mayor of the municipality is to make copies of the passport submitted by the special permanent resident and of the written application for alien registration pertaining to an application under Article 3, paragraph (1) of the former Alien Registration Act or the written application for issuance of an alien registration certificate pertaining to an application under Article 7, paragraph (1) of the former Alien Registration Act, and send those copies and one of the two photographs submitted by the special permanent resident to the Minister of Justice.
After an application prescribed in the preceding paragraph has been made, if the special permanent resident who made that application makes an application under Article 8, paragraph (1) or (2) of the former Alien Registration Act, the mayor of the municipality is to make a copy of the written application for registration of changes pertaining to that application and send the copy to the Minister of Justice.
After an application prescribed in paragraph (1) has been made, if the mayor of the municipality has made a registration under Article 10, paragraph (1) of the former Alien Registration Act, the mayor is to notify the Minister of Justice to that effect.
市町村の長は、第一項に規定する申請があった後に、旧外国人登録法第十条第一項の規定による登録をしたときは、その旨を法務大臣に通知するものとする。
The provisions of Article 22, paragraph (1) apply mutatis mutandis to the case where an application prescribed in Article 29, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the amending Act has been made.
第二十二条第一項の規定は、改正法附則第二十九条第一項に規定する申請があった場合に準用する。
The provisions of Article 1 of the Order for Enforcement of the Special Act apply mutatis mutandis to the case where a special permanent resident certificate is issued pursuant to Article 29, paragraph (3) of the Supplementary Provisions of the amending Act, and the provisions of Article 2 of the Order for Enforcement of the Special Act apply mutatis mutandis to the case where a special permanent resident certificate has been issued pursuant to that paragraph, respectively.
