The purpose of this Act is to prevent harm to the body, freedom and reputation of individuals, and to contribute to the safety and peace of the lives of the citizens, by imposing necessary regulations on stalking, etc., such as punishing stalking, and by providing for measures of assistance, etc. for persons targeted by it.
この法律は、ストーカー行為を処罰する等ストーカー行為等について必要な規制を行うとともに、その相手方に対する援助の措置等を定めることにより、個人の身体、自由及び名誉に対する危害の発生を防止し、あわせて国民の生活の安全と平穏に資することを目的とする。
