Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 1 year from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Act on Access to Information Held by Administrative Organs
第四条（行政機関情報公開法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of Article 5, Article 12-2 and Article 13, paragraph (1) of the Act on Access to Information Held by Administrative Organs as amended by the provisions of the preceding Article apply to requests for disclosure (meaning the requests for disclosure prescribed in Article 4, paragraph (1) of that Act; the same applies below in this Article) made after the provisions of the preceding Article come into effect, and with regard to requests for disclosure made before the provisions of the preceding Article come into effect, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
前条の規定による改正後の行政機関の保有する情報の公開に関する法律第五条、第十二条の二及び第十三条第一項の規定は、前条の規定の施行後にされた開示請求（同法第四条第一項に規定する開示請求をいう。以下この条において同じ。）について適用し、前条の規定の施行前にされた開示請求については、なお従前の例による。
