Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2007; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect on the dates specified in those items:
この法律は、平成十九年四月一日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
the provisions of Article 16, the provisions of Article 31 and the provisions of Article 32 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date of promulgation.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Review
第二条（検討）
The government is, with a target of five years after this Act comes into effect, taking into account the status of enforcement of this Act, etc., to review how regulation under the provisions of the Medical Care Act, etc. as amended by this Act should be, and if it finds it necessary, take necessary measures based on the results.
政府は、この法律の施行後五年を目途として、この法律の施行の状況等を勘案し、この法律により改正された医療法等の規定に基づく規制の在り方について検討を加え、必要があると認めるときは、その結果に基づいて必要な措置を講ずるものとする。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 14Transitional Measures Concerning Issuance of New Licenses
第十四条（再免許の交付に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of Article 7, paragraph (3) of the Medical Practitioners' Act as amended by the provisions of Article 4 to a person who received a disposition regarding revocation under Article 7, paragraph (2) of the Medical Practitioners' Act before amendment by the provisions of Article 4 before the Effective Date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
施行日前に第四条の規定による改正前の医師法第七条第二項の規定による取消処分を受けた者に係る第四条の規定による改正後の医師法第七条第三項の規定の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 31Transitional Measures Concerning the Application of Penal Provisions
第三十一条（罰則の適用に関する経過措置）
With regard to the application of penal provisions to acts committed before this Act (for the provisions set forth in the items of Article 1 of the Supplementary Provisions, those respective provisions) comes into effect, to acts committed after this Act comes into effect in the cases where the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of these Supplementary Provisions, and to acts committed after this Act comes into effect in the cases where the provisions remain in effect pursuant to the provisions of these Supplementary Provisions, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
この法律（附則第一条各号に掲げる規定については、当該各規定）の施行前にした行為並びにこの附則の規定によりなお従前の例によることとされる場合におけるこの法律の施行後にした行為及びこの附則の規定によりなお効力を有することとされる場合におけるこの法律の施行後にした行為に対する罰則の適用については、なお従前の例による。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 32Delegation of Other Transitional Measures to Cabinet Order
第三十二条（その他の経過措置の政令への委任）
Beyond what is provided for in Articles 3 through 16 and the preceding Article of the Supplementary Provisions, transitional measures necessary incidental to the enforcement of this Act are specified by Cabinet Order.
附則第三条から第十六条まで及び前条に定めるもののほか、この法律の施行に伴い必要な経過措置は、政令で定める。
