A notification of birth may be submitted in the locality of birth.

If the birth takes place within a train or aboard any other mode of transportation (excluding a ship; the same applies below), a notification of birth may be submitted in the locality in which the mother exited that mode of transportation, and if the birth takes place within a ship where no logbook is kept, a notification of birth may be submitted in the locality at which the ship first enters port.
