When a Japanese national who lives in a foreign country has a certificate made in accordance with the formalities of that country in relation to an event under notification, they must submit a copy of the relevant certificate to the Japanese ambassador, minister, or consul stationed in that country within three months.
外国に在る日本人が、その国の方式に従つて、届出事件に関する証書を作らせたときは、三箇月以内にその国に駐在する日本の大使、公使又は領事にその証書の謄本を提出しなければならない。
Where there is no ambassador, minister or consul stationed in that country, the Japanese national must send a copy of the certificate to the mayor of a municipality in the locality of their registered domicile within three months.
大使、公使又は領事がその国に駐在しないときは、三箇月以内に本籍地の市町村長に証書の謄本を発送しなければならない。
