A person who has submitted a false notification with regard to particulars which are not required to be entered or recorded in a family register, is subject to imprisonment for not more than one year or a fine of not more than 200,000 yen. The same applies to a person who has submitted a false notification with regard to particulars that involve a foreign national.
戸籍の記載又は記録を要しない事項について虚偽の届出をした者は、一年以下の拘禁刑又は二十万円以下の罰金に処する。外国人に関する事項について虚偽の届出をした者も、同様とする。
