Supplementary Provisions, Article 4, paragraph (1)
外国人が旧特区法第二十五条第一項又は第二十六条第一項の規定により交付された旧法第七条の二第一項の証明書を提出して新法第六条第二項の上陸の申請をした場合には、新法第七条第一項第二号及び第二項の規定の適用については、旧特定研究等活動、旧特定情報処理活動、旧特定研究等家族滞在活動又は旧特定情報処理家族滞在活動に該当する活動に係る証明書の記載は、それぞれ、新特定研究等活動、新特定情報処理活動であって同条第一項第二号に規定する法務省令で定める基準に適合するもの、新特定研究等家族滞在活動又は新特定情報処理家族滞在活動に該当する活動に係る証明書の記載とみなす。
If a foreign national has applied for landing under Article 6, paragraph (2) of the new Act by submitting a certificate under Article 7-2, paragraph (1) of the former Act issued pursuant to the provisions of Article 25, paragraph (1) or Article 26, paragraph (1) of the former Special Districts Act, with regard to the application of the provisions of Article 7, paragraph (1), item (ii) and paragraph (2) of the new Act, the statements in the certificate concerning activities falling under former specified research activities, former specified information processing activities, former specified research, etc. family stay activities or former specified information processing family stay activities are deemed to be statements in the certificate concerning activities falling under new specified research activities, new specified information processing activities that conform to the criteria provided for by Ministry of Justice Order prescribed in paragraph (1), item (ii) of that Article, new specified research, etc. family stay activities or new specified information processing family stay activities, respectively.
