旧特区法第二十五条第一項に規定する特定研究等活動（以下「旧特定研究等活動」という。） 新法別表第一の五の表の下欄（イに係る部分に限る。）に掲げる活動（以下「新特定研究等活動」という。）
specified research activities, etc. prescribed in Article 25, paragraph (1) of the former Special Districts Act (hereinafter referred to as "former specified research activities"): the activities set forth in the right-hand column of Appended Table I (5) of the new Act (limited to the part pertaining to (a)) (hereinafter referred to as "new specified research activities");
