戸籍関係情報作成用情報（こせきかんけいじょうほうさくせいようじょうほう）

In Article 45-2, information, other than family register related information (戸籍関係情報) itself, produced by computer processing of the information in the duplicate copies (副本) of family registers (戸籍) or removed family registers (除かれた戸籍) in order to prepare family register related information.

戸籍関係情報を作成するために戸籍又は除かれた戸籍の副本に記録されている情報の電子計算機処理等を行うことにより作成される情報（戸籍関係情報を除く。）

戸籍電子証明書（こせきでんししょうめいしょ）

An electronic record (電磁的記録), in a form a Ministry of Justice Order (法務省令) specifies, certifying all or part of what is recorded in a family register (戸籍) kept on magnetic disk (磁気ディスク) under Article 119.

戸籍関係情報（こせきかんけいじょうほう）

Information, specified by Ministry of Justice Order (法務省令) as information to be provided under Article 19, item (viii) or (ix), that can be produced by computer processing of the duplicate copies (副本) of family registers (戸籍) or removed family registers (除かれた戸籍) kept on magnetic disk — such as whether a person recorded there has a parent-child or other family relationship with another, or about marriage and the forming of other family relationships — and that contains an information provision personal identification code (情報提供用個人識別符号).

戸籍電子証明書提供用識別符号（こせきでんししょうめいしょていきょうようしきべつふごう）

A code, of a kind a Ministry of Justice Order (法務省令) sets, that a designated mayor (指定市町村長) issues to a person who has requested a family register electronic certificate (戸籍電子証明書) and that identifies that certificate, so that an administrative body can obtain it by showing the code (Article 120-3(3)).

戸籍の附票の除票（こせきのふひょうのじょひょう）

A family register supplement (戸籍の附票) that the mayor has deleted in full, or the old version of one that has been remade, which the mayor must keep in a file of removed supplements (戸籍の附票の除票簿).

戸籍謄本等（こせきとうほんとう）

A transcript (謄本, a copy of the whole) or extract (抄本, a copy of part) of a family register (戸籍), or a certificate of what is entered in it.

戸籍証明書（こせきしょうめいしょ）

A document certifying all or part of what is recorded in a family register (戸籍) kept on magnetic disk (磁気ディスク), which can be requested instead of a transcript, extract or certificate of the register (戸籍謄本等).

戸籍の附票の記載等（こせきのふひょうのきさいとう）

Making an entry in a family register supplement (戸籍の附票) — the record a municipality keeps, for each family register (戸籍) held there, of the addresses and other details of the people in it — deleting it, or correcting an entry in it.

戸籍等記録者（こせきとうきろくしゃ）

In Article 9(3), a person recorded in the duplicate copies (副本) of family registers (戸籍) or removed family registers (除かれた戸籍) kept on magnetic disk under Article 119 of the Family Register Act.

戸籍記載指定市町村長（こせききさいしていしちょうそんちょう）

Where a notification or application requires entries in family registers (戸籍) at two or more city, town or village offices and the mayor who received it is a designated mayor (指定市町村長), any other mayor who must make one of those entries and is also a designated mayor.

新戸籍（しんこせき）

A family register (戸籍) newly created on or after the date the provisions listed in Article 1, item 3 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 48 of 2023 come into effect — among them Article 7 of that Act, which amends this Act.

附票本人確認情報（ふひょうほんにんかくにんじょうほう）

The name and its kana reading, address (or, for a person who has moved out of Japan, that fact), date of birth, sex and resident record code (住民票コード) on a family register supplement (戸籍の附票), or on one that has been deleted, together with details of the entries that Cabinet Order (政令) sets — the information a municipal mayor passes to the prefectural governor under Article 30-41.

A mayor of a city, town or village (市町村長) whom the Minister of Justice has designated under Article 118(1) to handle family register (戸籍) work on the computer system linking the Minister's computers with the mayors' (電子情報処理組織).

An electronic record (電磁的記録) certifying all or part of what is recorded in a removed family register (除かれた戸籍) kept on magnetic disk (磁気ディスク) under Article 119.

氏名の振り仮名（しめいのふりがな）

The kana showing how the characters of a person's surname and given name are read, as provided for in Article 13, paragraph (1), item (ii) of the Family Register Act.

機構保存附票本人確認情報（きこうほぞんふひょうほんにんかくにんじょうほう）

Family register supplement identity confirmation information (附票本人確認情報) that the Japan Agency for Local Authority Information Systems (機構) has recorded on magnetic disk from prefectural governors' notices and still keeps within the retention period set by Cabinet Order (政令).

交付市町村長（こうふしちょうそんちょう）

In Article 17(2) to (5) and Article 18-6(3)(i), the mayor of the municipality who hands an Individual Number Card (個人番号カード) to the person it was made for.
