旧私立学校教職員共済加入者期間（きゅうしりつがっこうきょうしょくいんきょうさいかにゅうしゃきかん）

A person's time as a member of the private school personnel mutual aid system (私立学校教職員共済制度) under the Private School Personnel Mutual Aid Association Act before Act No. 63 of 2012 came into effect on 1 October 2015, including time counted as such membership under that Act as it stood before Act No. 63 of 2012 or under other laws, as Article 4, item (xiii) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 63 of 2012 defines it.

適格合併等（てきかくがっぺいとう）

In Article 67(3) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the Act Partially Amending the Income Tax Act, etc., and Other Matters (Act No. 4 of 2017), a qualified merger (適格合併), a qualified company split (適格分割), a qualified capital contribution in kind (適格現物出資) or a qualified in-kind distribution (適格現物分配) carried out on or before the day that Act came into effect (for an in-kind distribution of all residual assets, only one whose residual assets were settled before that day).

施行日以前に行われた適格合併、適格分割、適格現物出資又は適格現物分配（残余財産の全部の分配に該当する適格現物分配にあっては、施行日前に残余財産が確定した当該適格現物分配に限る。）

半期報告書（はんきほうこくしょ）

In Article 3 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 79 of 2023, a semiannual securities report under Article 24-5, paragraph (1) of this Act as amended by the provisions of that Act that came into effect on 1 April 2024.

In Article 60, Article 70, paragraph (2) and Article 71, paragraph (2) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 63 of 2013, the reserves that the surviving Pension Fund Association (存続連合会) transfers to a surviving employees' pension fund (存続厚生年金基金) under Article 53, paragraph (4) or (5) of those supplementary provisions: those to be used for the old-age pension benefits whose rights and duties the fund takes over, or those its rules name for the other benefits it owes the person under provisions of this Act as it stood before that Act that those supplementary provisions keep in force.
