Article 21Notification to the Minister of Justice Concerning the Certificates of Residence of Foreign Residents on the Effective Date of the Amending Act
第二十一条（改正法施行日における外国人住民の住民票に係る法務大臣への通知）
On the effective date of the amending Act, the mayor of a municipality is to notify the Minister of Justice of the matters listed in the items of paragraph (1) of the preceding Article concerning the foreign residents prescribed in Article 30-45 of the Residential Basic Book Act in that municipality.
市町村の長は、改正法施行日において、当該市町村の住民基本台帳法第三十条の四十五に規定する外国人住民に係る前条第一項各号に掲げる事項を法務大臣に通知するものとする。
The notification under the provisions of the preceding paragraph is to be made by a method such as transmitting the matters through a telecommunications line from a computer (including input/output devices) that the Minister of Justice has the mayor of the municipality use to a computer used by the Minister of Justice, or by any other method specified by Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Ministry of Justice.
前項の規定による通知は、法務大臣が市町村の長に使用させる電子計算機（入出力装置を含む。）から電気通信回線を通じて法務大臣の使用に係る電子計算機に送信する方法その他の総務省令・法務省令で定める方法により行うものとする。
