Pursuant to Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, a hotelier must keep a register of lodgers in the hotel business facilities or in any other place that Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare prescribes, giving the names, addresses, and contact information of the lodgers and other information that Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare prescribes, and must submit this register if required to do so by the prefectural governor.
A lodger must give the information prescribed in the preceding paragraph if requested to do so by a hotelier.
