Article 47-2Retention of Assets Corresponding to the Stated Capital of a Foreign Bank Branch Office in Japan
第四十七条の二（外国銀行支店の資本金に対応する資産の国内保有）
Pursuant to the provisions of Cabinet Order, a foreign bank branch office must retain the assets corresponding to its stated capital in Japan at all times, for the amount exceeding the amount specified by Cabinet Order within the scope of not less than one billion yen.
外国銀行支店は、常時、政令で定めるところにより、十億円を下回らない範囲内において政令で定める額以上の資本金に対応する資産を国内において保有していなければならない。
