Article 55-5Payment of School Enrollment and Job-search Preparation Benefit

①A prefectural governor, a mayor and the mayor of a town or village that administers a welfare office shall pay, as provided by Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, a school enrollment and job-search preparation benefit to a public assistance recipient who has a place of residence within the jurisdictional district of the welfare office under their management (or, where there is no place of residence or it is unclear, who is within that jurisdictional district) (limited to a person who is within the period up to the first March 31 on or after the day on which the person reaches the age of 18, and any other person specified by Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) and who falls under any of the following items:

②The provisions of paragraphs (2) and (3) of the preceding Article apply mutatis mutandis to the payment of the school enrollment and job-search preparation benefit.
