Supplementary Provisions, Article 4Transitional Measures for Cannabis Plant Harvesting Cultivators, etc.

With regard to a Cannabis plant harvesting cultivator prescribed in Article 2, paragraph (4) of the Act on Regulation of Cannabis Cultivation as Amended by Article 1 and a Cannabis plant research cultivator prescribed in Article 2, paragraph (5) of that Act, who hold a license on the day preceding the day of enforcement of the provisions listed in Article 1, item (ii) of the Supplementary Provisions (hereinafter referred to as the "item (ii) Effective Date"), notwithstanding the provisions of the Act on Regulation of Cannabis Cultivation as amended by the provisions of Article 2 (referred to as the "Act on Regulation of Cannabis Cultivation as Amended by Article 2" in paragraph (2) of the following Article and Article 7 of the Supplementary Provisions) and the Narcotics and Psychotropics Control Act as amended by the provisions of Article 4, the provisions then in force continue to govern during the validity period of that license.
