申請等の行為（しんせいとうのこうい）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Ministry of Labour Order No. 2 of 2000, an application for a permission or the like, or another act, made to an official under a law's provisions or a Cabinet Order (政令) under it. Article 2 treats such an application or act made to a Director of a Prefectural Labor Standards Bureau (都道府県労働基準局長) or a prefectural governor (都道府県知事) and still pending when the decentralization reform law (地方分権推進整備法) came into effect, where the work it concerns is to be handled from that day by the Director of a Prefectural Labor Bureau (都道府県労働局長) under the laws as that law amended them or Ministry of Labour Orders (労働省令) under them, as made to the Director of the Prefectural Labor Bureau under their corresponding provisions.

販売事業年度（はんばいじぎょうねんど）

In Article 9(4) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 24 of 1998, the business year in which the corporation made an installment sale, etc. covered by the transitional measures (経過措置対象割賦販売等).

経過内国法人（けいかないこくほうじん）

In Article 50 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 8 of 2024, a domestic corporation that, before that Act came into effect, submitted to the Minister in charge of National Strategic Special Zones (国家戦略特別区域担当大臣) the plan a Ministry of Finance Order (財務省令) sets for carrying out a specified business in a certified zone plan under Article 27-3 of the National Strategic Special Zones Act; the old Article 61 still applies to it even if it is designated under Article 61, paragraph (1) on or after that date.

既存専有部分等（きそんせんゆうぶぶんとう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 51 of 1983, the exclusively-owned areas that existed when that Act came into effect, together with the rights to use the grounds (敷地利用権) attached to them, to which Articles 22 to 24 as amended by that Act apply only from a later date.

特定のみりん等（とくていのみりんとう）

Mirin, etc. (みりん等) shipped from a manufacturing site before Act No. 13 of 2000 came into effect whose liquor tax, calculated at the rate in Article 87-3 of this Act as amended by that Act, would exceed the tax calculated at the rate in Article 22, paragraph (1) of the Liquor Tax Act.

旧分離振替国債（きゅうぶんりふりかえこくさい）

In Article 42 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 21 of 2005, a separated book-entry government bond (分離振替国債) recorded by book entry before the date that Act comes into effect (施行日) under Article 67-17, paragraph (1) of this Act as it stood before that Act, for which a return claiming the exemption under item (i) of that paragraph was filed.

みなし賃金日額（みなしちんぎんにちがく）

In Article 14 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 57 of 1994, the daily amount of wages (賃金日額) that Article 17 (leaving out its paragraph (3)) would give a person who took up stable employment before that Act came into effect and was then aged 60 or over, treating them as a qualified recipient who separated from service on 1 April 1995; it stands in for the daily amount of wages in the rules on the re-employment benefits for the elderly (高年齢再就職給付金).

旧個別延長給付（きゅうこべつえんちょうきゅうふ）

In Article 3 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 14 of 2017, payment of the basic allowance (基本手当) under Article 5 of the supplementary provisions of this Act as it stood before Article 1 of that Act amended it, to people who had finished receiving their prescribed duration of benefits (所定給付日数) before that Act came into effect.

継続小売販売業者（けいぞくこうりはんばいぎょうしゃ）

A person deemed a tobacco retail seller (小売販売業者) under Article 10, paragraph 1 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the Tobacco Business Act (Act No. 68 of 1984).

経過措置課税期間（けいかそちかぜいきかん）

In Article 22, paragraphs (2) and (3) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 13 of 2025, each taxable period, within a year or business year beginning on or after that Act's effective date (施行日), of a business that made an old-rule lease transfer (旧リース譲渡) before that date — for an individual business operator, a taxable period beginning on or before 31 December 2030, and for a corporation, one within a business year beginning on or before 31 March 2030 — for which Article 16 of the Consumption Tax Act as it stood before that Act still applies.

新株券等保有割合（しんかぶけんとうほゆうわりあい）

In Article 5 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 32 of 2024, the ownership ratio of share certificates, etc. (株券等保有割合) under Article 27-23, paragraph (4) of this Act as amended by the provisions listed in Article 1, item (iii) of those supplementary provisions, as it stands when those provisions come into effect.

第二号新介護保険法（だいにごうしんかいごほけんほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 52 of 2017, the Long-Term Care Insurance Act (this Act) as amended by Article 1 of that Act, counting only the amendments listed in Article 1, item (ii) of those supplementary provisions, which came into effect on 1 July 2017.

第二号改正後健保法（だいにごうかいせいごけんぽほう）

In Articles 16 to 18 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 31 of 2015, the Health Insurance Act as amended by Article 5 of that Act, most of whose amendments came into effect on 1 April 2016, the date set in Article 1, item (ii) of those supplementary provisions.

第六号新船員保険法（だいろくごうしんせんいんほけんほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 31 of 2026, the Mariners Insurance Act as amended by Article 4 of that Act, which comes into effect on the date set in Article 1, item (vi) of those supplementary provisions: a date a Cabinet Order (政令) sets within two years of that Act's promulgation (公布, its official publication) on 5 June 2026.

第九号改正後厚年法（だいきゅうごうかいせいごこうねんほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 74 of 2025, the Employees' Pension Insurance Act as amended by Article 3 of that Act, in the parts listed in Article 1, paragraph (1), item (ix) of those supplementary provisions, among them the amendment to Article 12, item (v).

第二号新不動産登記法（だいにごうしんふどうさんとうきほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 24 of 2021, the Real Property Registration Act (Act No. 123 of 2004) as amended by Article 2 of that Act, counting only the amendments listed in Article 1, item (ii) of those supplementary provisions.

経過的旧その他の病床（けいかてききゅうそのたのびょうしょう）

In Article 5 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 141 of 2000, the transitional former other beds provided for in Article 2, paragraph (3), item (iv) of those provisions — former other beds (旧その他の病床) whose former rules Article 2, paragraph (2) kept in force until the hospital made its notification — which Article 5 counts with long-term care and general beds in applying Article 7-2, paragraph (1) of the Medical Care Act as that Act amended it, for two years and six months after it came into effect.

郵便貯金銀行移行業務（ゆうびんちょきんぎんこういこうぎょうむ）

In Article 6 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds as first enacted (Act No. 22 of 2007), the business of Japan Post (日本郵政公社) that the Postal Service Privatization Act or two related Acts (Act No. 101 and Act No. 102 of 2005) make business of the postal savings bank (郵便貯金銀行), including business that would be such if carried on on the day the Postal Service Privatization Act comes into effect.

既実施農業協同組合等（きじっしのうぎょうきょうどうくみあいとう）

In Article 3 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 137 of 1995, an agricultural cooperative, etc. (農業協同組合等) that was already carrying on a business of mutual liability insurance (責任共済), mutual reinsurance (再共済) or mutual retrocession (再再共済) when that Act came into effect.

対象旧保険料納付済期間（たいしょうきゅうほけんりょうのうふずみきかん）

In Article 94 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 34 of 1985, a premium-paid period under the former National Pension Act (旧国民年金法) between the day a person became entitled to a disability pension (障害年金等) and 31 March 1986; it is used to decide who may claim a special lump-sum payment (特別一時金).
