第六号施行日（だいろくごうしこうび）

1 April 2025, the date the provisions listed in Article 1, item (vi) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 14 of 2020 come into effect.

第四号施行日（だいよんごうしこうび）

The date the provisions listed in Article 1, item (iv) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 66 of 2021 — among them that Act's amendments to Article 67, paragraph (1) and Article 93 of the Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People — come into effect, a date a Cabinet Order (政令) sets between 1 October 2022 and 1 March 2023.

第一号施行日（だいいちごうしこうび）

In Articles 7 and 8 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 31 of 2023, 19 May 2023, the day that Act was promulgated (公布, its official publication), on which the provisions listed in Article 1, item (i) of those supplementary provisions came into effect.

第二号新医師法（だいにごうしんいしほう）

This Act as amended by Article 5 of Act No. 79 of 2018.

第二号旧医療法（だいにごうきゅういりょうほう）

In Article 8 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 83 of 2014, the Medical Care Act as it stood before the provisions of Article 3 of that Act listed in Article 1, item (ii) of those supplementary provisions amended it on 1 October 2014.

初回車両番号指定（しょかいしゃりょうばんごうしてい）

The first assignment of a vehicle number (車両番号) to a light vehicle under the second sentence of Article 60, paragraph 1 of the Road Transport Vehicle Act; for light vehicles other than those Article 30 of the supplementary provisions (附則) excludes, higher light vehicle tax (軽自動車税) rates apply for the time being from the fiscal year that includes the month 14 years after it.

第二号新介護保険法（だいにごうしんかいごほけんほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 52 of 2017, the Long-Term Care Insurance Act (this Act) as amended by Article 1 of that Act, counting only the amendments listed in Article 1, item (ii) of those supplementary provisions, which came into effect on 1 July 2017.

第二号旧介護保険法（だいにごうきゅうかいごほけんほう）

This Act as it stood before Article 1 of Act No. 52 of 2017 amended it.

第二号改正後健保法（だいにごうかいせいごけんぽほう）

In Articles 16 to 18 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 31 of 2015, the Health Insurance Act as amended by Article 5 of that Act, most of whose amendments came into effect on 1 April 2016, the date set in Article 1, item (ii) of those supplementary provisions.

第六号新船員保険法（だいろくごうしんせんいんほけんほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 31 of 2026, the Mariners Insurance Act as amended by Article 4 of that Act, which comes into effect on the date set in Article 1, item (vi) of those supplementary provisions: a date a Cabinet Order (政令) sets within two years of that Act's promulgation (公布, its official publication) on 5 June 2026.

第四号改正後医療法（だいよんごうかいせいごいりょうほう）

This Act as amended by Article 8 of Act No. 31 of 2023.

第九号改正後厚年法（だいきゅうごうかいせいごこうねんほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 74 of 2025, the Employees' Pension Insurance Act as amended by Article 3 of that Act, in the parts listed in Article 1, paragraph (1), item (ix) of those supplementary provisions, among them the amendment to Article 12, item (v).

第二号新不動産登記法（だいにごうしんふどうさんとうきほう）

In the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 24 of 2021, the Real Property Registration Act (Act No. 123 of 2004) as amended by Article 2 of that Act, counting only the amendments listed in Article 1, item (ii) of those supplementary provisions.

対象第三号被保険者期間（たいしょうだいさんごうひほけんしゃきかん）

In Article 7-3-2 of the supplementary provisions (附則), a person's time as a category 3 insured person (第三号被保険者) that is premium-paid (保険料納付済期間), other than periods a Cabinet Order (政令) excludes.

五号施行日以後事業年度（ごごうしこうびいごじぎょうねんど）

A business year beginning on or after 1 April 2022, the date the provisions listed in Article 1, item 5 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 5 of 2020 come into effect, other than a business year of a consolidated subsidiary (連結子法人) whose consolidated parent's business year began before that date.

平成八年法律第八十二号（へいせいはちねんほうりつだいはちじゅうにごう）

In the Appended Table (別表), the Act Partially Amending the Employees' Pension Insurance Act, etc. (Act No. 82 of 1996), called by its number.

第三号施行日（だいさんごうしこうび）

The date the provisions listed in Article 1, item (iii) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 57 of 2017 came into effect, a date set by Cabinet Order (政令) within one year and six months after that Act was promulgated (公布, officially published).

第四号施行日（だいよんごうしこうび）

1 April 2025, the date the provisions listed in Article 1, item (iv) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 31 of 2023 came into effect.

第三号施行日（だいさんごうしこうび）

1 April 2020, the date the provisions listed in Article 1, item (iii) of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 72 of 2018 come into effect — among them that Act's amendments to Articles 998 and 1000 and the proviso to Article 1025 of the Civil Code — which is the day Act No. 44 of 2017, which amended the Civil Code, came into effect.

第四号施行日（だいよんごうしこうび）

In Article 10 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 72 of 2018, 1 April 2020: the date the provisions listed in Article 1, item (iv) of those supplementary provisions, among them Article 2 of that Act, which amended the Civil Code, come into effect — a date set by Cabinet Order (政令) within two years of that Act's promulgation (公布, its official publication) on 13 July 2018.
