The State, prefectures and municipalities, designated medical care providers and other persons concerned are to cooperate with one another while coordinating among themselves, through the introduction of the system of electronic eligibility confirmation prescribed in Article 34, paragraph (6) and otherwise promoting the use of information and communications technology in procedures, so that affairs carried out pursuant to the provisions of medical insurance laws, etc. (meaning the medical insurance laws prescribed in Article 7, paragraph (1) of the Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People (Act No. 80 of 1982) and the Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People) and other laws and regulations providing for benefits relating to medical care are implemented smoothly.
国、都道府県及び市町村並びに指定医療機関その他の関係者は、第三十四条第六項に規定する電子資格確認の仕組みの導入その他手続における情報通信の技術の利用の推進により、医療保険各法等（高齢者の医療の確保に関する法律（昭和五十七年法律第八十号）第七条第一項に規定する医療保険各法及び高齢者の医療の確保に関する法律をいう。）その他医療に関する給付を定める法令の規定により行われる事務が円滑に実施されるよう、相互に連携を図りながら協力するものとする。
