消費者
In Article 11, an individual, except one who becomes a party to a contract as a business or for the purposes of a business.

In Article 11, a contract made between a consumer (消費者) and a business operator (事業者), other than a labor contract (労働契約).
This Act, the Act on General Rules for Application of Laws, as it reads after the revision made by Act No. 78 of 2006, the Act whose supplementary provisions (附則) coin the name.
The date this Act (Act No. 78 of 2006) itself comes into effect.

生産業者
In Article 18, a person who has produced, processed, imported, exported, distributed or sold a product (生産物) in the course of business.

In Article 18, a producer (生産業者) of a product, or a person who has put on the product a representation by which they can be taken to be its producer.
