With regard to old-old medical care benefits under the provisions of the Act on Assurance of Medical Care for Elderly People as it stood before the amendment by Article 8 pertaining to medical treatment received before the item (iv) Effective Date (including, for provision of drugs, drugs for which a prescription was issued by a physician or dentist before the item (iv) Effective Date), the provisions then in force continue to govern.
第四号施行日前に行われた療養（薬剤の支給については、第四号施行日前に医師又は歯科医師から処方箋の交付を受けたものを含む。）に係る第八条の規定による改正前の高齢者の医療の確保に関する法律の規定による後期高齢者医療給付については、なお従前の例による。
